Hello, I’m Ellie, the owner of Rutland Reflexology. I offer professional, personalised reflexology treatments from my home-based treatment room in Ketton, Rutland, welcoming clients from Stamford, Oakham and the surrounding area.
For me, reflexology is about much more than simply following a treatment routine. I want every person who comes to see me to feel listened to, comfortable and able to take some genuine time away from the demands of everyday life. My approach is warm, friendly and individual. I take time to understand what has brought you to reflexology, how you are feeling and what you would like from your sessions, so that your treatment can be adapted to you.
My Story
Why I Became a Reflexologist
My journey into reflexology began through my own experience of receiving treatments. I remember how much I enjoyed the sense of calm and relaxation they gave me, and it sparked a desire to explore a career within holistic therapy. Throughout my own wellbeing journey, I have experienced Reiki, acupuncture and holistic massage, and I found these to be some of the most effective treatments in supporting me both physically and emotionally. I have always felt a strong interest and connection to spirituality, energy and creating a sense of calm, so becoming a reflexologist felt like a natural path for me.
What I love most about reflexology is being able to give people a genuine opportunity to pause and step away from the demands of everyday life. I find it incredibly rewarding to create a safe, nurturing space where someone can relax, switch off and take some time for themselves. I also believe strongly in the power of bringing the body back into balance energetically, and this has been an important part of my own journey. In fact, I feel that realigning and rebalancing my body was one of the things that supported me during my journey to falling pregnant. My own experiences have given me a real appreciation for the potential of holistic therapies, and I now feel privileged to be able to offer that same sense of care, calm and nurturing to others.
My Approach to Reflexology
No two people who come through my door are the same, so I don’t believe their treatments should be either. Before your first treatment, I take time to learn about you, your medical history, lifestyle and what you hope to get from your reflexology sessions. This helps me adapt your treatment to your individual circumstances, comfort and preferences.
I aim to provide a calm and supportive environment where you don’t feel rushed or judged. Some clients come to reflexology because they want dedicated time to relax and unwind; others are navigating a particular stage of life or a difficult period and value having time focused entirely on their own wellbeing. Whatever brings you to Rutland Reflexology, you will be treated as an individual.
Reflexology is a complementary therapy and does not replace appropriate medical care. My role is not to diagnose or promise to treat medical conditions, but to provide professional, individualised reflexology with relaxation and wellbeing at its heart.
I strive to create a treatment around each individual, recognising that everyone is unique and may need something different from their treatment. I adjust the pressure depending on what feels comfortable and pay attention to how each client is feeling when they arrive, including their energy levels and mood. Some clients enjoy talking and having a chat throughout their treatment, while others prefer quiet time to completely switch off, so I adapt my approach accordingly. I also make adjustments to positioning and comfort where needed, ensuring that each person feels relaxed, supported and at ease throughout their treatment.
I’m particularly proud of the calm and nurturing environment I create for my clients. I want people to feel that they can genuinely step away from everyday life, relax and have some much-needed time for themselves. I take pride in being attentive to each person and creating a space where they feel listened to, cared for and never rushed. It’s incredibly rewarding when clients tell me they feel calmer, lighter or more relaxed after their treatment, and knowing that I’ve been able to provide that sense of comfort and wellbeing is something I really value.

Qualified to the Highest Level
I completed my Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology, alongside my Level 4 Anatomy and Physiology qualification, through Jubilee College in Peterborough. Both qualifications were awarded by Agored Cymru in September 2026. The Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology is recognised as the highest level reflexology qualification in the UK, reflecting the depth of knowledge, practical experience and professional training I have undertaken. My training is backed by extensive hands-on experience, having completed over 100 clinical case studies as part of my practitioner training.
My practice is fully supported by an established professional network, including Jubilee College and the Association of Reflexologists (AoR), and I am committed to continuing my learning and developing my practice. In July 2026, I completed CPD training in Supporting Women Through Menopause with Caroline Knight, further strengthening my understanding of how reflexology can support women during this stage of life.
My holistic journey began with Reiki. I completed my First Degree Reiki training through Reiki Evolution in December 2023, followed by my Second Degree Reiki training in March 2024. Both were taught by Reiki teacher Faiy Rushton. This training provided an important foundation for my understanding of energy, balance and holistic wellbeing, and continues to influence the calm, intuitive and nurturing approach I bring to my reflexology practice.
